Mary Elizabeth Folk Aug. 17, 1913-July 19, 1993 CLYDE Mary Elizabeth Folk, 80, Sandusky County Road 177, Clyde, died Monday at Elmwood Nursing Center in Green Springs.

She was born in York Township to Cecil and Alta (Shriver) Dymond. She married Wilbur Folk on April 23, 1931. He died in 1985. Mrs. Folk was a homemaker and a life-long member of Mt.

Carmel United Methodist Church, where she played the piano and organ for 61 years. Surviving are son Don Folk of Green Springs; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and brother Gene Dymond of French Gulch, Calif. Her parents are deceased. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

Wednesday at Harris Funeral Home in Bellevue. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, with burial at York Free Chapel Cemetery. Memorials may be made the church memorial fund.

Associated Press COLUMBUS The state Controlling Board approved $6.5 million in government loans and grants for development projects that are expected to create or retain more than 1,300 full-time jobs.

The city of Toledo got the single-largest package $4.5 million to help buy a 15-story downtown building occupied by Libbey-Owens-Ford Co. Controllers on Monday approved a $4 million loan for the city to use in acquiring the LOF headquarters from the company's employee pension fund. The building will be leased back to LOF at a substantial rental savings for the company. The loan is to be repaid at 3 percent interest over 10 years. Also approved was a $500,000 state grant to Toledo to help cover renovation costs.

The purchase is part of a plan to keep 300 white-collar jobs in Lucas County. LOF makes glass products for the construction and automotive industries. Smith was owner-operator of Ed's Bar and Grill, a millwright at Brush Wellman in Elmore and at Allied-Signal in Fostoria. Mr. Smith was born in Bowling Green to Enoch and Dorothy (Corbin) Smith. His first wife was Sandra Roderich; they divorced and he married Janet Zender on May 9, 1981, in Fostoria. She survives.

Mr. Smith was a U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Moose Lodge 1567 in Fremont, former member of Elmore Jaycees, a little league coach in Elmore for six years, former Harris-Ehnore volunteer firefighter and a charter member of Brush Wellman Credit Union. Surviving are son Mark A. Smith in Reno, daughter Cassandra Smith of Elmore; stepdaughters Nonnie and Windy Affholder, both at home; brothers Robert of Monrovia, and Raymond, address unknown.

Son Roger Jr. is deceased. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bamdt Funeral Home, 121 W. South Wayne.

There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the cancer society. William M. Titsworth William M. Titsworth, 62, 1613 Arrowhead Drive, died Monday evening at home.

23, 1922-July 18, 1993 TIFFIN Betty E. Fey, 70, 386 North Sandusky Street, Tiffin, died Sunday at St. Francis Health Care Centre in Green Springs. She was born in Seneca County to Clarence and Daisy (Bloom) and graduated in 1940 from Green Springs High School. She married Paul R.

Fey on Jan. 31, 1948, in Republic. He survives. Mrs. Fey worked as a colorist at Boles and Dandurand Studio many years ago.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Tiffin and the Daughters of America. Surviving are sons Gary L. of Tiffin and Roger L. of Perrysburg; four grandchildren; sisters Ve lva Dye and Maxine Herbert of Tiffin; and brothers Burden Black of Clyde and Doyle and Marlin Black of Tiffin. Services will begin at 11 a.m.

Associated Press CALDWELL, Ohio Thomas Lee Dillon, who pleaded guilty last week to killing five outdoorsmen, has told authorities he set 160 fires over five years, a sheriff said. The fires caused an estimated million in damage, Noble County Sheriff Landon Smith said Monday.

Dillon, 43, of Magnolia, said he set 160 fires and committed other acts of vandalism in eastern Ohio, Smith said. As part of a plea agreement, Dillon will not be prosecuted for the fires, Smith said. The fires were set in at least Coshocton, Belmont, Guernsey, Carroll, Columbiana and Tuscarawas counties, Smith said. He said he believed Dillon's claims. Dillon pleaded guilty to five counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of Donald Welling, 35, of Strasburg; Jamie Paxton, 21, of Bannock; Kevin Loring, 30, of Duxbury, Claude Hawkins, 49, of Mansfield; and Gary Bradley, 44, of Williamstown, W.Va.

19, 1928-June 11, 1993 LOS ANGELES Former Edmund John Ahner, 64, of Los Angeles, died I June 11 at Sunrise Hospital in 'Las Vegas of complications after breaking his leg. He was attend- ing a reunion with family. Mr. Abner was born in Fremont to Edmund and Rose (Heschel) Allier. He attended St.

Ann's School and graduated from Ross High School in 1946. He was a U.S. Army veteran, as a medic during the 'Korean War. Mr. Ahner was a resident of Los Angles since the mid-1950s, had a successful career as a floral designer in Westwood, Calif.

Surviving are his companion Elwin Wilkinson of California and sisters Rosalind Malone of San Francisco, and Eileen Miner and Jeanne Miers of N.M. Also surviving are relatives in the Fremont area. His parents, sister Norma Jane and brothers Gerald and Joseph are deceased. A memorial service was con-', ducted at Christ the King Catholic Community Church in Las Vegas. :7 Burial will be later this month at Westwood Memorial tery in Los Angeles.
