Sandusky County Common Pleas Judge Harry Sargeant reduced the bond of Ronnie Martinez from $100,000 cash to a recognizance bond. Martinez, who is indicted on one count each of theft, arson and forgery, was recently furloughed from a six-month county jail term on a misdemeanor conviction to receive treatment. Sargeant agreed to the bond reduction so that Martinez could receive the treatment. The theft and arson charges claim Martinez stole a 1983 Buick Regal and set it on fire in June. The forgery indictment claims that in September, Martinez wrote a $291 check to Super Kmart on the account of Thatcher the Cleaner.
