Regularly scheduled service to the islands from Port Clinton will begin April 30. Larry Fletcher, Ottawa County Visitors Bureau executive director, said the three ferry services operating in the county are critical to island residents and tourism in the county. "They're hugely important," he said. "In terms of tourism, the boats are essential."
